When the PACT Act (which requires all tobacco product deliveries to be signed for, Vuse had to find a new shipping partner that was able to handle this task) passed, it made Vuse have to shift gears from an e-comm site to a more educational product site that could easily shift to e-comm depending on the user’s location.

Working in a staff augmentation model, I worked directly with the developer and copywriter to flush out the concepts in one month (super fast 💫).
Product Education
Since the user is not able to purchase Vuse products online, we took it as an opportunity to educate the users on the robust Vuse product line. Calls to action lead the users through the site so they can explore. Product pages contain robust content with playful use of product imagery to inspire exploration.
Product Exploration
Even though users are unable to make purchases online, they can still explore the product in an e-comm way. Using iconography, infographics, and bold, engaging imagery really helps bring the products to life and helps the consumer make a confident in-store purchase. Once shipping becomes available in your area, an add-to-cart CTA can be easily added or switched out - without having to change the design or user flow.
