Verizon Gridwide

Expand the app from Lighting meters to Gas, Electric, and Water meters.

  • I was the Senior Product Designer responsible for maintaining the Verizon Gridwide design system, and updating and creating new components based on requirements from the Product Owner at Verizon.

Designing from Requirements

Since the Lighting app for Gridwide was already launched and the design system was in place, I did not create traditional wireframes. Instead, I designed straight from the requirements, which often included screenshots from the old app.

Design System

Verizon has a very robust design system, and the first iteration of the Gridewide app was done the year prior. With the second iteration, Gridewide was expanded from just Lighting to Gas and Water. 
I was to maintain what was already established, and expand on components when needed.

Advanced Filtering

One new feature of the Gridwide app was Advanced Filtering. The user would need to filter by 7 categories and within those categories, there were multiple options, and within those options, the user can make multiple selections. The user also needed to be able to save, edit and clear the filters.
